Founders

DAVID HILL is the President and COO of Century City Live.

David Hill is a world renowned producer/director, Emmy Award-winning sports producer and executive, network chief and critically-acclaimed producer. Hill has served as executive producer on many of the world's most prominent live and broadcast events, from the Oscars to the Super Bowl to American Idol, and holds numerous patents for production innovations. His creations include football's on-field first down marker and the now ubiquitous constant score and clock graphic (commonly known as the Fox Box).

David Hill helped launch Sky Television, Britain's first satellite distributed television service. He then became Executive Producer of Eurosport, the first pan-European sports service. Following that effort, Hill was responsible for the creation of Sky Sports, which, with the addition of the English Premier League, became a critical division of British Sky Broadcasting.

As the first President of FOX Sports. Hill launched an innovative, fully functional major U.S. television network sports division in just eight months. Over the next 20 years he also directly or indirectly oversaw the launch of several media outlets, including FOX Sports Net, FOXSports.com, Big Ten Network, FOX Sports 1 and others.

For more than 20 years, Hill oversaw thousands of events aired by FOX Sports, and it's affiliated national and regional channels, including NFL Super Bowls (6), MLB World Series (14), NHL Stanley Cup Finals (5) and NASCAR's Daytona 500 (8). He also created and served as Executive Producer of countless studio shows, including FOX NFL SUNDAY, the most-watched NFL pregame show since its debut in 1994. Many of the techniques and innovations he introduced upon launching FOX Sports ushered in a modern era of sports television production.

In 2011, Hill shifted the lion's share of his focus to entertainment television when he was appointed executive producer of the long-running hit series American Idol, which he oversaw for three seasons, as well as running the National Geographic Channel.

Hill was described by Rupert Murdoch, for whom he worked for almost 30 years, as a "dynamic and imaginative leader who has changed the experience of nearly all major sports on three continents. Whether launching Sky Sports, the FOX network, FOX Sports or our regional sports networks, we owe him an enormous debt.”

GREG BASSER is a Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Century City Live as well its sister company Century City Entertainment Co.

Greg is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Gentle Giant Media Group, an independent producer of films and television and Australia treaty co-productions. which promotes film and television production in Australia.

Prior to founding Century City Entertainment and Gentle Giant, Greg worked with the Village Roadshow Group for 33 years during which time he co-founded VREG and Village Roadshow Pictures. During his almost two decades leading VREG, Greg was instrumental in the growth of the company and its expansion into financing and producing 101 Hollywood films with global box office in excess of US$18.5 billion.

Greg has extensive international business, commercial and legal experience spanning the United States, China, United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, South East Asia and elsewhere throughout the Asia-Pacific.

Greg works with Ausfilm, Screen Australia and the Australian Government to promote co-operation between a number of treaty country film industries, including the China, and the Australian film industry.

Greg is member of the Board of Directors of the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Sciences and is also an inaugural CEO member of the American Australian Business Council and a G’Day USA Champion for the G’Day USA program.

In 2016, Greg was awarded the Qantas Orry-Kelly International Award by Australians in Film honoring him as an Australian for his contribution to the national identity of Australia, his success in and contribution to the international film industry and for creating opportunities and inspiration for other Australians internationally. He is also a 2017 and 2018 Variety500 Honoree and a member of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences

Greg teamed with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Impact to bring Imagine Impact’s Impact Australia program to Melbourne in 2020 with the program continuing in 2021.

DAVID ANTON is a Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Century City Live as well as its sister company Century City Entertainment Co.

David is also the Founder and CEO of the New York based marketing communications, branding and advertising firm Anton & Partners.

A&P has a world-renowned track record in all facets of communications: influencer marketing, advertising, branding, public relations, investor relations, special events, web and digital campaigns and marketing.

The agency’s client roster reflects the quality and level of its work: Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ermenegildo Zegna, Ferrari, Maserati, Bugatti Deutsche Bank, United Technologies and HSBC to name a few, spanning industries and continents.

Also, the agency has worked with some of the world’s preeminent talent such as Angelina Jolie, Robert DeNiro, Keith Richards, Sean Connery, Justin Timberlake and Jeremy Irons, to name a few.

The directors and photographers the agency worked with includes luminaries such as Terence Malick, Pierre Morel, Mario Testino and Craig McDean.

David is also the Co-Founder of EXPS Live, a virtual events platform company. In addition, David serves on the Board of Directors of SEEEN plc, a digital video platform company based in London as well Zammo, the ai voice platform based in San Francisco.

David has also served as an advisor and early stage investor in many successful companies including Spotify, Tory Burch and Village Roadshow Pictures among others.
